New York City: Exposition Press, 1963. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Fine / Near Fine. Item #005286
8vo., 223pp. Beautiful First Edition. Square, tight and clean throughout with a hint of bumping to cloth at the heel but barely noticeable. Bottom board edges looked to be just starting to tone. Still remarkably well-preserved. Equally attractive unclipped, ($3.00), has a bit of wear along the top edge and a few areas of light soiling on the rear panel but quite minor. A tiny closed tear on the top rear panel. Still fresh and bright with no chipping or creases. "A Novel of the Near East" involving the flight of a young woman from a harem. Notable for the author, who fled the Turkish genocide of Armenians, assassinated two Turkish officials in LA in the early 70's. A gorgeous collectable copy of a scarce book, particularly in this high-grade condition.
