Spine with five raised bands with compartment decoration similar to boards. Titles in gilt in second compartment. Square, tight and clean throughout with no foxing or interior blemishes. Page edges only just starting to tone but barely. Gentle rubbing to spine ends and tips a few quite minor scuffs to boards. Contemporary ownership signatures on front paste-down and end-paper. One in the year of publication and the other in 1874. Very well-preserved.
