8vo., 278pp. Beautiful First US Edition, originally published by Hodder in the UK in 1919. Surprisingly, the American edition is not found in Hubin. Bound in publisher's original peach colored cloth with titles stamped in purple on spine and front board. Square, tight and clean throughout with some minor wear to spine ends and tips. Crown mildly toned. Clean pages and no foxing. Quite scarce unclipped dust-jacket, ($1.75), is complete and bright but does have tape reinforcements on the reverse which also covers up chipping to the heel and crown. Spine panel toned and with a closed tear along the front hinge. Still very presentable and impossible to find in any condition. A solid collectable copy of a most uncommon title, with or without the jacket.
