8vo., 415pp. Beautiful First Edition, First Printing of this noted Australian author's first book. (publisher's (1) on last page of text which designates a First Printing for this publisher) Bound in original black cloth with titles and decoration stamped in red and silver on front board and spine. Square, tight and clean throughout with perhaps a hint of bumping to spine ends but quite minor. Neat owner's name and date on front end-paper. Remarkably well-preserved. Unclipped dust-jacket, ($2.50), has several chips, including a 1"x1.5" piece from the top front panel and a chip at the crown affecting a couple of title letters. Creases and closed tears. Still fresh and bright. A very petty collectable copy of an uncommon title and at a great price.
