Minor rubbing to edgers and fairly moderate wear to spine ends and tips. Tiny stain on front board. Neat, contemporary gift inscription on flyleaf. Remarkably well-preserved for such a heavy book. Recollections of vice and other crimes in New York during the period with chapters on Gambling and Prostitution.
