Beautifully bound by Seckers & Son, London in contemporary 3/4 maroon morocco over red cloth covered boards. Gilt double-ruled borders. Five raised bands on spine with gilt-bordered compartments with gilt dentelles and title. t.e.g. Photographs and illustrations throughout including color fold-out and mounted plates. All three components of original bright red decorated cloth binding are bound in the rear and in unblemished condition. Square and clean throughout with little or no toning or foxing. Rubbing to edges, tips and joints. Front hinge cracked and fragile but holding. Bookplate on front paste-down. A very handsome collectable copy at a terrific price.
