New York: The International News Company, 1943. 1st Edition. Cloth. Very Good. Item #010941
Folio. 26 weekly issues, (July.2, to Dec. 25), bound together, approximately 29 pages each. Bound in black cloth with titles on spine in gilt. Photographs and both b&w and color illustrations throughout including a great portrait of the not-yet-21 future Queen, Princess Elizabeth. Iconic issues of the weekly newspaper focusing on WWII raging around the world. Very well-preserved, square, tight and generally clean throughout with little or no toning or foxing. Some fairly mild rubbing to edges and tips. Some discoloration spots on boards. A couple of internal, unobtrusive tape repairs. Small library stamp on the front paste-down but no other library markings whatsoever. A very handsome collectable set and quite uncommon in any condition.
