8vo., viii, 312pp. Beautiful First Edition of this illustrated autobiography of this prolific British Playwright, best known for his 1911 "Disraeli". Finely bound and signed by Bickers & Sons in double-ruled half red morocco over red cloth boards. Raised spine bands Titles and decorations in gilt in compartments. Top edge gilt. 32 illustrations including frontis of his portrait. Added in material is a photograph of Parker in front of a glass collection underneath which is a affixed clipping from a note, "Your affectionate friend, Luigi". There is another photo, on the rear paste-down, of Parker's salon. There are a few newspaper clippings pasted, tipped and laid in. Most importantly, affixed to the front free endpaper, is a folding note with a hand-written signed letter to "Saint" on one side and a poem to this "Saint" on the other. Square, solid and clean throughout save a small area of glue residue, opposite the half-title, where a piece of ephemera appears to have been removed. Mild rubbing to edges and tips. Tiny stain to front board. A very pretty collectable copy of a scarce title in general and quite unique given the ephemera and writing from the author.
