8vo.,100pp. Gorgeous First Edition, First Printing of the iconic author's first book, published when he was only 18 years old. Bound in publisher's tan cloth with titles stamped in gilt on spine. Square, tight and clean throughout with little or no wear save a gentle bump to one tip. A hint of toning to board edges but barely. Beautiful and quite scarce, unclipped, though unpriced, dust-jacket has some toning to edges and spine and tiny nicks at the spine ends and light wear to the tips. Still remarkably well-preserved with no creases or tears. Signed by the young author on the half-title page in his well-documented early style that changed dramatically as he got older. House in a custom clamshell box with some fairly minor wear and rubbing. A stunning collectable copy. (Bleiler.
