Vintage Paperback. Sharp First Paperback Printings of the first two books in Farmer's landmark Riverworld series. Both books were used by Farmer to research the story for the fourth volume, "The Magic Labyrinth", published in 1980. The books have a signed and dated inscription by Farmer to describer what he was using the books for. Throughout each volume are notes and other mark-ups in Farmer's hand, frequently in his short-hand, referencing characters and other aspects of the stories. The volumes are in general in very good condition. "Bodies" is largely dis-bound but still complete. "Riverboat" is intact. Both books have mildly toned page edges and light edge-wear. Fresh and bright with no chipping, creases or tears. A rare collectable set and a great opportunity to own an integral component in the development of Farmer's masterpiece.
