Some mild wear to edges and tips. Shallow front hinge crease but feels unread. Fresh and bright with no chipping or tears. Wonderful long inscription by Tabor/Whittington to mystery author Mike Avallone ont he title page, " Dear MFU1, Jr., Thanks for the GUNFIGHTERS. Neat gimmick for tag line. Never hope to write better than L. L'Amour - Pray only to sell better!! This is one off six I did. No longer doing them. Thought you might like the twist here-in. I made Randolph Scot, (Sheriff Carr), the villain. All the best. Sincerely, Tabor Evans Whittington". Below this inscription, Avallone clarifies Whittington's meaning to a friend or associate, "*Nick: He always called me MFU#1 meaning The Man From U.N.C.L.E.! All the best, Mike Avalonne". Avallone had written the very first The Man From U.N.C.L.E. story. A very pretty collectable copy and a terrific association and presentation. Naturally very scarce.
