Thick 8vo., 1024pp. Beautiful First Edition, First Impression of this mammoth anthology featuring 52 stories by Algernon Blackwood, Ambrose Bierce, Edgar Allan Poe, Brahm Stoker, William Hope Hodgson and many others, Undated but actually 1935 (ISFDB) Bound light red cloth with titles macabre vignette in black on front board and spine. Square, tight and clean throughout with little or no wear save some bumping to spine ends. An errant spot or two but generally quite clean pages with little or no toning. Very well-preserved for such a large volume. Very attractive, and quite uncommon, unclipped, though unpriced, dust-jacket, (3'6 on the spine panel), Has some small chips and closed tears. A longer one on the upper front flap. Some foxing to front flap. Still fresh and bright with no toning. A sharp collectable copy of a scarce title, particularly on this side of the Atlantic.
