A Dead Certainty
London: The Modern Publishing Company, 1935. Cloth. Near Fine/Fine / Near Fine. Item #013484
12mo., 254pp. Beautiful Reprint Edition, undated but c. 1935, Originally published by Routledge in 1900. Bound in red cloth with titles in black on spine. Publisher's slogan in black on rear board. Advertisements on paste-downs. Square, tight and clean throughout with only a hint of wear to edges and spine ends gently pushes in. Very light toning and no foxing. Remarkably well-preserved for such delicately, and cheaply, made books that are notorious for the poor condition they are typically found in. Very attractive original unclipped, though unpriced, dustjacket, (2/- on spine panel), has a couple of tiny nicks to extremities and some spotting to spine panel. Still quite fresh and bright with no tears or creases and quite uncommon in any condition. A sharp collectable copy and very scarce in this condition. (Hubin, p.170).
