8vo., 247pp. Sharp First Edition bond in black cloth with title in gilt on spine. Square, tight and clean throughout with just a hint of wear to the crown but barely. Outer page edges toning. Light off-setting to end-papers. Equally attractive unclipped dust-jacket, (15s. net) has some mild edge-wear and toning to flap edges. A tiny closed edge-tear. Still fresh and bright with no chipping or creases. A very pretty collectable copy and though not uncommon, not always easy to find in this superior condition. (Hubin, p.330).
