Titles stamped in gold in C2, gilt decorations in all others. Marbled page edges and endpapers. Square, tight and very clean pages throughout and little or no wear. perhaps the tiniest of rubs to crown and tips but truly minor. Tiny closed tear on first blank end-paper. Contemporary annotations in beautiful script on first several prelims including a couple of preface pages. Certainly in the hand of a member of the Luxmore family with a notation of the name on the title page. Remarkably well-preserved particularly with a book of this size, A simply gorgeous collectable copy and uncommon as such.
