8vo., 265pp. Beautiful Stated First Printing of this uncommon mystery about a football player murdered on the field during a game. Bound in publisher's original red cloth with titles in black on front board and spine. Square, tight and clean throughout with just a touch of bumping to spine ends but quite minor. No foxing or toning. Remarkably well-preserved. Quite scarce unclipped dust-jacket, ($2.00l), has some light soiling to the rear panel, some wear to edges and tips with a couple of tiny nicks and short closed tears. Still fresh and bright. A simply gorgeous collectable copy and quite difficult to find in such high-grade condition and nearly impossible in the jacket. (Hubin, p.143).
