8vo., 280p. Beautiful First British Edition published the year following the US First from Houghton Mifflin. Bound in publisher's original blue cloth with titles in black on spine. Square, tight and clean throughout with a touch of wear to spine ends and tips but quite minor. Previous owner's info and gift inscription in ink on front paste-down. Very attractive unclipped dust-jacket, (7s 6d net on spine panel), has some mild toning to spine and edges. Light edge-wear. Some tape reinforcements on the verso though invisible from the front. Still fresh and bright and scarce in any condition. A sharp collectable copy of a very difficult to find title, particularly in such nice condition. (Hubin, p.423).
