8vo., 201pp. plus 2pp. ads in rear. Sharp First Edition, bound in tan cloth with titles in gilt on spine and in black on front board. Sailing ship motif blocked in gilt and black. Top edge gilt. Illustrated by J.D. McCormick. Square and tight and generally clean throughout with little wear save some gentle bumping to spine ends. Light scattered foxing to pages and fore-edges but no toning. Spine and top edge gilt a bit dulled. Very attractive unclipped, though unpriced, dust-wrapper, has a couple of short closed edge-tears and mildly toned spine and edges. Still solid and complete with no chipping and scarce in any condition. A most handsome collectable copy of this enchanting children's story.
