8vo., 111pp. Beautiful First Edition of a record of Beaton's travels throughout the far east during WWII. Bound in orange cloth with titles in yellow on front board and spine. Illustrations and photographs throughout. Square, tight and clean throughout with moderate wear to edges and tips. Off-setting to end-papers but clean text. Attractive unclipped dust-jacket, (15s. net), has a 2" split at teh top of the rear fold. several pieces of brown tape on the reverse with a few ghost marks where tape was removed. Small chips and closed edge-tears. Still clean and complete. A very pretty collectable copy of a scarce title.
