8vo., 318pp. Beautiful Stated First Edition of the second book in the Venus series. Bound in pebbled blue cloth with titles stamped in red on front board and spine. Red top-stain. Mapped end-papers. Cover design and five interior b&w illustrations, including frontispiece, by J. Allen St. John. Square, tight and clean throughout with very mild wear to spine ends, bottom edge and tips. A hint of off-setting from the jacket flaps on the end-papers. Equally attractive dust-jacket, ($2.00 on the spine panel), has a thin, faint, blue strip of off-setting along th top and bottom edges.
