8vo., 305pp. Sharp Stated First Edition of this quite scarce early Crime Club title. Bound in black cloth with titles and Crime Club logo in red on spine. Square, tight and clean throughout save some off-setting to paste-downs. No foxing or toning to pages. Minimal wear but faint remnants of the inside of the dust-jacket that must have adhered to the cloth; both on the front and rear hinges by the crown and a small area of the rear panel. Else a just about Fine copy. Unfaded red top-stain. Attractive unclipped dust-jacket, ($2.00), has several chips to spin ends and edges. A few closed edge tears. and surface rubbing. Small tape repair to reverse. Not perfect but still bright and complete. A solid collectable copy and impossible to find in any condition, particularly in dust-jacket.
