8vo, 320pp. Sharp First Edition of this tale set in Manhattan featuring "... one of the most fascinating characters in mystery fiction", according to the front flap. Bound in orange cloth with titles stamped in black on front board and spine. Square, tight and clean throughout with no toning or foxing. Some softness to spin ends and a small bump to the front top tip but quite well-preserved. Beautiful unclipped dust-wrapper, ($2.00), has a a touch of wear at the spine ends and a one by half inch chip from the bottom of the rear panel though not affecting text. Still remarkably fresh and bright with no creases or tears. Protected with an archival-quality mylar cover. .
