Slim 4to, 33pp.. Beautiful fully illustrated vintage catalogue and really more of a guide for an exhibit of the painter Albert Pasini, (1826 - 1899) with in depth descriptions, (text in French), of his travels and reproductions of his works, all revolving around oriental carpets available from the iconic Paris department store, Le Bon Marche. Bound in half red morocco over marbled covered boards. Dozens of b&w photos and full-color, full page photographs of several oriental carpets on offer though prices are not included. It seems likely that this was originally distributed in the original stiff wraps which are still present and then bound for a more permanent memento. The volume is square, tight and clean throughout save some moderate toning to the end-papers only which were not original to the catalogue but bound in later. Mild wear to spine ends, edges and tips. A sound, handsome copy of a most unusual volume and certainly quite uncommon.
