Square, tight and clean throughout with just some mild rubbing and softness to spine ends. A hint of wear at the tips. Clean pages. Lacking scarce dust-jacket. Inscribed by the author on the front end-paper, "To Leon, from Sax". Leon M. Lion, (1879 -1947), was an English stage and film actor, playwright, theatrical director and producer. He was also Rohmer's dramatic agent, This was Rohmer's own copy before it was evidently gifted as there is his bookplate on the half-title with his name printed in his own hand. A very pretty collectable copy and rarely found signed.
