8vo., 217pp. Solid First Edition of this new translation by Lubiansky. Bound in mauve cloth with lettering in gilt upon black background on spine. End-papers and interior illustrations by H. Lawrence Hoffman. Square and tight with a touch of offsetting to end-papers and very mild page toning. Spine ends gently bumped and rubbed. Small bump to the top front tip. Attractive unclipped dust-jacket, ($5.00), has several small nicks and edge-tears. Rubbing to folds. Still bright and complete and quite presentable. Though not marked in any way, this came directly from the library of H. Lawrence Hoffman who illustrated the dust-jacket. His son, David Hoffman, the noted documentary filmmaker, has signed a statement with information about his father, the artist, and attesting that the book was from his library. A copy of this is included. A pretty collectable copy of an uncommon title and at a great price.
