An attractive, very good copy of the First Edition in its second state, identified by the "V" in Methuen on the spine, ads dated "Autumn 2013, and a publication date of 1914. (McBride pg.18) Book is square, tight and clean throughout. Some wear to the hinges and spine ends. Slight split in the cloth by the lower rear hinge and what looks like a hinge repair at the top where it meet the spine. Still quite solid and presentable. Lacking the very rare dust-jacket. A handsome collectable copy at a great price.
