Sharp First Edition of this translation from the French of "Le Drame de la Rue De La Paix". which is actually the novelization of Victorien Sardou's play, Fedora, which starred Sarah Bernhardt. Bound in original printed wraps. Square, tight and clean throughout save some small stains on the fore-edge but very little page toning. Covers toned with a few trivial spots here and there. Mild edge-wear and a couple of shallow dog-ears. Nick to bottom front tip. Short closed tear to the rear bottom edge. Still quite well-preserved given its almost 150 years old and still presents quite well. A very pretty collectable copy of a very scarce item.
