Thick 12mo, xviii995(2)pp. Beautiful First Modern Library Edition. ML binding style G5 in grey cloth with lettering in gilt upon maroon spine and front board labels. Anthology with classic stories by Poe, Shiel, Leblanc, Christie, Hammett, Dunsany, and many others. Square, tight and clean throughout with just a touch of softness to spine ends and a hint of toning to board edges. Very well-preserved. Very attractive unclipped, though unpriced, dust jacket, (316 titles listed on reverse), has some tiny nicks and closed tears along edges and tips. Mild soiling in spots. Still fresh, bright and quite presentable. A very pretty collectable copy. First Printings are very uncommon, particularly in such nice condition. (Toledano #69.1, p118-119).
