8vo., 343pp, Sharp Stated First Printing of Capote's masterpiece of True Crime. Bound in brown cloth with lettering in gilt on the front board and spine. Square, tight and clean throughout save a touch of off-setting to the inner margin of the fly-leaf. Perhaps a hint of a rub here or there but little or no wear. Unfaded navy top-stain. Very attractive unclipped first issue dust-jacket, ($5.95, I/66 on bottom of front flap), has some chipping to the spine ends and moderate wear to edges, folds and tips. Closed tear at the bottom front fold. Still bright and presents well. Made into more than one film though notably the 1967 production directed by Richard Brooks and starring Robert Blake and John Forsythe. A very pretty collectable copy at a great price.
