Bound in original dark green cloth with beautiful gilt floral decorations and lettering. All edges gilt. Dark green end-papers. Introduction by Ann Thackeray Ritchie. 100 illustrations by Hugh Thomson including tissue guarded frontis. Square and tight with little or no wear save a bit of softness to spine ends. A few errant spots to tissue guard and title page. #11 on a small square sticker on the front paste-own. Likely a shelf or case reference. Small, neat gift inscription on front end-paper. A very pretty collectable copy.
