Beautifully bound in publisher's blue cloth with stamped in black and gilt to front board and spine and in blind on rear board. Elaborate lute and book motif rendered upon an oval white background on the front board. All edges gilt. Brown end-papers. Wonderfully illustrated by Keeley Halswelle. Square and tight with little or no wear save some mild softness to spine ends. Fresh and bright; remarkably well-preserved. Some scattered foxing to the prelims and the first page or two. Neat contemporary gift inscription on the fly-leaf. Pages very mildly toned but otherwise a largely unblemished interior. A most attractive collectable copy and rarely found in such nice condition.
