Bound in maroon cloth blocked and decorated in gilt. Lettering in red superimposed within gilt decorations. All edges gilt. Frontis illustration. Square and tight with minimal page toning. Scattered foxing but primarily to preliminary pages. WeGilt and cloth dulled and soiled. A very presentable, collectable copy of this novel written by an unnamed woman writing to raise money for her missionary work in India. Surprisingly quite uncommon in any condition.
