8vo., 287pp. Beautiful First Edition, Third Printing of the author's scarce first book, a Haycraft-Queen cornerstone title. The First was 1934. Bound in green cloth with lettering in black on spine. Square, tight and clean throughout save a small, neat ownership name and date on front end-paper. A touch of edge-wear but quite well-preserved with no toning. Equally attractive unclipped dust-jacket, (3s. 6d. net), has mild edge-wear and a tiny nick in the bottom rear edge and at the crown. Spine toning. Still quite fresh and bright with no creases or tears and scarce in any condition. A very pretty collectable copy and tough to find, particularly in jacket. (Hubin, p.209).
